Wordpress is a great piece of open source software that in recent years has been greatly extended to reach above and beyond its original purpose of a Blog. Today's Wordpress can be used to run many different type of sites that may or may not include a blog. Wordpress is no longer only for blogging and people are using Wordpress for a variety of applications such as company homepages, portfolios, online magazines, small stores and video sites.
From it's beginnings, Wordpress was all about ease of use. Wordpress has kept up that standard and has become the most used internet platform on the web.
